Field State is an anonymous collective of artists who share an interest in open collaborative structures and the ideas they generate. Our work is grounded in the belief that visual systems, like energy systems, are shaped by intention and respond to shifting conditions.
With artists moving in and out of the collective over time, the structure promotes energetic flow and supports the sustained pursuit of balance. Field State artists are drawn to natural orders, cyclical rhythms, and the meanings conveyed by pattern and composition. Both the act of making and the experience of viewing are understood as ways to cultivate harmony and equilibrium.
Anonymity creates space, both for artists to explore freely without expectation, and for the work to speak on its own terms. Field State is not bound to a single method or aesthetic, but sustained by a shared commitment to thoughtful process, exchange, and attention.
